Sinopsis:
In the middle ages a small Greenlandic boy comes drifting with an Iceberg to a remote and superstitious settlement in Iceland and is believed to be an evil spirit by his looks. He saves a young boy from an avalanche and they become friends. The young Icelandic boy has to fight for his friends existence against the ignorant villagers, who want him imprisoned or even killed.A small community finds itself divided when a furry creature is sighted close to their village. Believing it to be an ice demon, some of the locals arm themselves in order to dispose of this terrible menace ... After being rescued from an avalanche, 11-year-old Boas realises that the creature is in fact a boy who speaks a strange language and looks different from anyone he has ever met before. Set in Iceland many centuries ago, this enchanting tale perfectly conjures the paranoia of a small town and deals with both the ignorance and compassion that the villagers offer the visitor. Despite its icy setting this is a warm, amusing film with a fairytale quality, where friendship is depicted as being an all-powerful force that can overcome any obstacle.
