Movie description:
Topper lives with his aunt in an apartment above a pub. Topper’s father is a seaman and hardly ever at home. Topper misses him very much. The pub owner has a son, Viggo. He is of the same age as Topper and the two boys are best friends. Viggo’s father is a bully to his apprentice and his son and the only real important thing seems to be making money. One day Topper finds a magic pencil. Everything he draws becomes real. But before he discovers this, he already has drawn a huge rhino on the wall of his apartment. Topper and Viggo call him Otto, named after Viggo’s father.
When the powers of the pencil are discovered by ViggoEUR(tm)s father, he sees great opportunities to make more money. He steals the pencil and draws a beer barrel on the wall of his cellar. But he canEUR(tm)t stop the beer from flowing and in despair ask Viggo for help. Viggo is willing to help him, but only if his father agrees to a few conditions: he must give away the beer for free for a whole month and he must be nice to Topper and him for ever. Also he must think less about making money. ViggoEUR(tm)s father agrees and Viggo simply draws a tap to put on the barrel. The next day TopperEUR(tm)s father return home for a short leave and seeing how much Topper has missed him, he decides to take his son along for the next trip.
This is a hilarious movie, a kind of EURoeMonty PythonEUR for kids, but great fun for adults too.
