Movie description:

The moving story of João, a man who while on the road, finds a way to forget the heartache of his past. By chance or luck, he comes across Duda, a boy looking for the father he never met. That encounter leads to a beautiful relationship that will shake the delicate balance built by João to deal with his ghosts.

To escape past traumas, a truck driver João decides to leave his hometown behind and travel across the country. Alone and lonely he drives all over Brazil until João discovers Duda hiding in his truck, a motherless boy looking for his father. Reluctantly, João agrees to take the boy to the nearest town and, during the trip, he finally finds the courage to face his past.

João, a solitary truck driver, rides the seemingly endless highways of Brazil, headed nowhere. João’s story is not unique; he is just another man running away from something, but by chance or by luck, João comes across Duda, a youngster full of faith in life and its promises, who is searching for the father he has never met.
By drawing inspiration from the classic popular songs of Roberto Carlos that appear on the soundtrack, Silveira has created a moving and imaginative film about a man who hits the road to forget the heartache of his past, and a meeting that changes the future of both man and boy.
