An adventure-comedy that follows two grade-school boys who cut class to go to a matinee. Through an unexpected turn of events, the boys end up with a gang of thieves, and are well on their way to an adventure greater than anything they missed at the matinee.
Two young schoolboys in a Mexican town cut class to go to a movie matinee. They are caught, grounded and almost expelled from their school. Later, they stowaway on a truck to Mexico City but the truck is soon hi-jacked by a team of highway pirates, and the boys are well on their way to an adventure greater than anything they missed at the matinee.
But you’re not going to see a cuddly children’s film ... Director Jaime Humberto Hermosillo brings us humour, suspense and murder from unexpected circumstances. At Mexico’s great shrine the basilica of the Virgin of Guadalupe, the hijackers lead the boys to a violent conclusion. When one of the boys, Aaron, becomes complicit with the crooks it affects him more than the other. One boy goes home as a hero – and the other?
