Movie description:
After her father dies, an English girl takes on a job as a governess for two orphans, eleven-year-old Miles and seven-year-old Flora, who live on a beautiful island. She is hired by the children’s uncle under one condition: she is to take full responsibility for the kids. When she arrives on the island, she is fascinated by its beauty. But soon she hears that several people who worked at the house have died horrible deaths. Although she doesn’t believe in ghosts, as the days go by she starts to think that the children have been possessed by the spirits of the dead, and the situation gets more terrifying by the minute.

Set in a sun bleached Spanish location the story concerns a governess who comes to a rambling old mansion to care for two siblings who may or may not be possessed by the spirits of two servants previously employed at the house. It’s for the viewer to ultimately decide whether the spirits exist externally or are demons in the haunted mind of the sexually repressed governess.
