For 14-year-old Hervé, the quest for the first kiss becomes a long string of humiliations. Equipped with braces, spots and a fully blooming puberty, he is not exactly the greatest lover at school. But when he one day defies all odds and secretly starts dating one of the school’s popular girls, the fates seem to turn his way. After some expert guidance and much fumbling, he is introduced to the noble art of French kissing – much to his friends’ envy. That should teach them! But Hervé needs to learn a lesson or two as well, as even though he considers himself to be the school’s new super-kisser, the new career in Don Juan’s footsteps doesn’t quite pan out as expected. With its cringe-evoking accuracy and great doses of disarming humour, »The French Kissers« takes a good and highly enjoyable look at the sleazy desires of youth and the soaking wet dreams of boys.

While pimply wise-ass Hervé (Vincent Lacoste) and his metal-head sidekick, Camel are forever fantasising over their female classmates (as well as said classmates’ mothers), they’re rarely ever able to go as far as actually talking to a girl, except when it’s to mumble a few incoherent insults. However when Hervé finally catches the eye of the sweet but equally sex-crazed Aurore, he’s pushed to choose between his first probable girlfriend and his unquenchable libido, while dealing with a nosy mother and Camel’s fears that Hervé will score before he does.
