The film follows 16-year old Raul through a night that will change his life forever. Raul’s mother is very ill and his frustration at his situation comes out as a passive aggression towards her. His good looks entice a string of admirers but he deals with his emotional pain by shutting out deeper relationships.
Upon this night he releases his frustration, the result of which will make turning back impossible. Raul, more desperate than ever sets out to cross a stretch of water notorious for the deaths of thousands, 90 miles across the Ocean in the US. The journey pushes him to the limits of human endurance and courage.
Una Noche follows events in the lives of three teenagers over a single night in Havana. Forced together by circumstance they find themselves in a situation beyond their control. With no other option and their own relationship crumbling, they set out to cross the notorious deadly 90 miles of ocean to the US.
