Dutch high school students Coen and Jonathan, best friends raised as Jehovah’s Witnesses, play in a Shadows-styled Jehovah’s Sunday band and dutifully visit The Hall (ie the Witnesses’ church) as well as work the streets to convert their fellow citizens. Jonathan’s latest passion lies in the secular world, but his carnal relationship with visual artist Marjan, a ska-loving squatter, soon conflicts with the strict rules of his exclusive religion.
