A skinny kid from Western Sydney tries to prove he’s the next Rugby League superstar in the middle of a war zone.
13-year-old Hussein is the biggest Bulldogs fan in the history of Rugby League. Unfortunately Hussein can’t kick a ball to save his life. The one thing keeping his spirits up is the fact he’s going to see his hero El Masri play in the 2004 NRL Grand Final. Unfortunately his grandmother dies and he has to fly to Lebanon a few days before the big match.
Stuck in southern Lebanon Hussein tries to recreate the match in a small dusty compound beside the security fence of the Lebanon/Israeli border. He finally manages to kick the ball straight ...between two security towers and into Israeli territory. Now he just has to get someone to kick it back!
