Chip Winters a energetic nine year old with a superior singing voice ingratiates himself with the boys at Birchlake Camp, he becomes a favorite of composer Johnny Selden who has moved into a nearby cottage where he will try to write a new operetta. Things begin to get complicated when Chip’s mother arrive with her fiancé, when Chip sees sparks developed between his mother and the composer he tried to be a matchmaker for them. When Johnny find out the Chip’s mother was a former opera singer he lets her in on the development of the first two acts of his operetta, when Walter the fiancé find out Johnny intentions of letting Chip’s mother Irene sing part of the first act he becomes annoyed given fact the he had persuaded Irene to retired from her operatic singing career, when he demands they leave the next morning, a deeply disappointed Chip say good-bye to his friends and depart to New York with his mother and her fiancé. When a heartbroken Johnny finishes his operetta he has his butler Joseph delivered the operetta to his producer in New York, but when Joseph loses the operetta, he buy a mediocre operetta and try to pass it off as the one written by Johnny Selden, the producers begin to panic in the shoddy operetta delivered to them and financial ruin looming overhead, but when Chip overhears of the problems and sing snippets of the original operetta and with the help of his mother they reconstruct the operetta, Irene agrees to sing in the operetta much to the dismayed of her fiancé and Chip is happy when his mother and Johnny are reunited and the operetta is a critical success.Мальчик Актеры
