Υπόθεση:
A man fleeing the police after having committed a murder hides out in a boarding house in a small town.An hour-long bit of film noir, »The Inner Sanctum« tells the tale of Harold Dunlap who departs a train as it passes thru a small town, only to be pursued by his self-absorbed fiance, whom Dunlap kills in a struggle on the loading dock. A local boy, Mike Bennett, witnesses the murder, and sees Dunlap put the body back on the train as it leaves the station. When a storm, and floods, seal off the town, Dunlap has no way to escape, and oweing to this twist of fate ends up at a rooming house where young Bennett also lives. Will Mike recognize Dunlap and figure it all out? Therein lies the tale.
