Another atmospheric French drama set just before the start of the first world war. A boy arrives at a family home and falls in love before causing mayhem for himself and the family.
Set during the summer of 1914 in the rural French countryside, this film follows two couples and their children. Pretty and nicely done but will be hard to follow unless you are familiar with the film’s language. One of the major plots seems to focus on a first love affair between thirteen years old Gabriel and a female peer.
