Eleven-year-old Alyosha finds a pair of old roller-skates in the closet and fashions them to his liking, taking a tram to the central park of his provincial Ukrainian city to try them out. All the people and other skaters make fun of his home-made skates, but Alyosha soon has other, more important matters to think about, as his day of adventure is just beginning ...
Alyosha, an 11 years old boy, finds old roller-skates, remodels them according to his wish and arrives skating to the central park of the provincial Ukrainian city. All the time he feels that random passers consider his true manifestation of creativity as a freaky foolishness. The film narrates how difficult it is to make contact with the world and other people while keeping your individuality.
