Υπόθεση:
On his way to yet another tour of duty abroad, thirty-year-old Max gets caught up in a game with the young boys next door. Max gradually loses sight of reality, and the boys lose their innocence.
30 year old, army man, Max is leaving for a tour of duty. He spots two children in his lane playing with fake guns. He decides to join them. All is play, until it isn’t. Christian van Duuren’ 10 minute, short is aptly named »Gamechanger«, as one moment flips the film around and it seizes to be a fun film about an adult reveling in his childhood fantasies. As the game gets intense, Max no longer understands his surrounding and is engulfed by true horrors, leaving the boys helpless and scarred.
When thirty-year-old Max, on his way to yet another foreign mission, gets entangled in an innocent game of »war« with his neighbour’s children Lukas and Siem, he loses his grip on reality. The present of his woody environment and his past in the field fuse into an oppressive tangle.
He no longer recognizes the two kids’ dread. Although this tough grownup man fairly unscrupulously takes two children’s innocence, his own pain is clearly tangible too.
