For the Children of Northern lreIand, violence and hatred are a way of life, passed from one generation to the next. During a Life-changing summer, four children form both sides of the conflict come to America through a special project and discover each other away from the ravages of their homeland.
Bonds of friendship develop and inbred prejudices fade while the children stay with host families in America. However, the true test of the project’s success wiII be a Christmas reunion back in Northern lreland.
A powerful story about two groups of Children in Northern Ireland, which have grown to hate each other. The Catholics and the Protestant children have never known any better, so grow up fighting and causing pain. Then an elderly gentleman has an idea. He wants to send a group of children to live in America for a while to see how different the world is without fighting and bloodshed on the streets. There is one catch though ... To attempt to teach the children that the other religion is also made up from humans, the children would share a house with someone from the opposite religion. Will anything change after the months in America?
