Υπόθεση:
A slightly surrealistic film about Jere, a boy who grows up in a violent butcher family. He resists the family traditions and tries to overcome it by being himself.
The youngest member of a family of butchers is born on Christmas Eve, 1960. He too will be a butcher. His father is a butcher, just like his grandfather, and just as his elder brothers Cor, Arie and Bolle are destined to be butchers. But Jere is different; he’s always laughing and singing and consequently always provoking his father. So Moemoe, his grandmother, decides to protect him from both his meaty fate and the ugly male traits in his butchering family.
When Jere is born, he is predestined to be a butcher. But Jere is different; he laughs and likes singing. Moemoe, his grand-mother, decides to take the Kid, as she calls him, under her wing to protect him against his clear-cut future and the dismal traits of the family’s men.
