We follow the life of a 12-year-old boy living in occupied France in 1944. We see his family, his chubby best friend, the girl who ignores him ... and the German deserter he hides in the cellar.
Young Pierre-Marie and his school chums find a German deserter in this World War II comedy. He allows the soldier to stay in the family basement until the end of the war. With the arrival of the Allied troops, Pierre becomes a hero when he marches out the German at the point of a machine gun.
