An imaginative resetting of the Charles Dickens novel from the Thames Estuary to Florida. In this version 10 year old Finn comes across an escaped convict (Robert de Niro), whom he reluctantly helps. Finn goes with his father to visit an old lady on her decayed estate. To everyone’s surprise, Finn is invited back to visit. There he encounters the exotic but icy Estella who entraps Finn into a kiss, he doesn’t know whether he has done the worst possible thing or the right thing.
