Description du film :
Set in 1952, a time of confusion and fanaticism, Ivan’s naive make-believe story about guns found in a cave unintentionally betrays his closest family friends. Meanwhile, he falls in love with Aleksandra, the daughter of a partisan facing persecution, and defends her in front of the class.
It is 1952, time of repressions, detention camps, silence, and fear. Even in times like that, people hope, help and love each other, especially the children with their candor and spontaneity. Unfortunately, the propaganda machine threatens to brainwash them. Ivan is smart, artistic, and recites Communist poetry with pathos. He cannot sense that he can harm even his closest people. After all, he will take the road of truth, before the cruel times have deformed his character.
