Description du film :
»Alle fugler« is a dystopian fairy tale that takes place in an enclosed world, in which meaning is about to disappear. In a theatrically constructed universe with no specific geography or time, the only remaining people are children who have lost the ability to use language, in the aftermath of a human catastrophe. Despite the post-apocalyptic setting, the fable is a glimmer of utopian hope.
In a place with no specific geography or time, communication and meaning is on the verge of extinction. Children are robbed of their vocabulary as a mysterious woman inhales the stolen words. Only one girl is still capable of speaking – but what does her inner voice say?
STILL BIRDS offers a highly idiosyncratic language lesson that is told with industrial noise and bleached shades of pale. Eliassen has created performance art within a post-apocalyptic context.
The last girl on earth who can talk struggles to keep her voice. Desperation makes the other children try to steal it from her. A film about struggle, desperation and the will to hold on.
