Andrew is kidnapped by his sperm-donor after a scheduled visit, and his mother, step-father, and law enforcement can’t find him. 5 years later, the sperm-donor calls and tells the mother where to meet the bus to pick up Andrew. At first, the boy appears to be mute and not quite right. What will it take for the family to successfully work with him – and will Andrew ever reveal what happened during those 5 years? Based on a true story, although the part with the social worker threatening that he may have to be placed in a state school is a bit far-fetched, unless the true story took place in the ’50’s – the vehicles in the film were obviously post-1990’s.
