Sinopsis:
After several years spent in a children’s home which represented a vast improvement in his station in life, Jamie is forced to go back home with his father. Although he tries hard, things don’t work out well for him there. He takes odd jobs in Edinburgh but faces such a dead-end life that he wishes he were dead. He joins the RAF for his national service, and meets a true friend at last on their posting to Egypt.
