Sinopsis:
Set in Austria in 1950, the film was made using a cast of amateurs to portray the harsh life experienced by the farming community in the Austrian Tyrol.As a young boy, Franzie is sent to live on a farm with the farmer, a well meaning man who nevertheless treats Franzie and the other farm workers harshly. The film was made using a cast of amateurs who give a low key but strikingly realistic portrayal of what life must have been life in the, then poor, Tyrol. The latter part of the film deals with Franzie’s life as a young man.
