Sinopsis:

»Kruimeltje« plays in 1920 Netherlands, where life for our little hero is hard, but fun nonetheless. Kruimeltje is taken care of by his evil stepmom, who dies after having an unfortunate accident walking down the stairs. Just before his stepmom dies, Kruimeltje is given a locket by her which shows a picture of his real mom and dad. Kruimeltje embarks on a big adventure where he manages to find his real parents through an amazing amount of coincidences! All in all a movie which bears remarkable similarities to Dickens’ »OliverÂ«.
