Sinopsis:
Doctor Tesař, who works at the Prague Zoo, brings home a young female chimpanzee from his business trip to Dakar. Since the small monkey has problems getting used to her new environment, Tesař decides to take her to his home for a few days. She becomes the responsibility of his two sons Martin and Robert, who look after her in a perfect manner but also quarrel a lot about her. Tereza, as the monkey is called, also attracts the attention of other children and a gang from the neighbourhood decides to kidnap her. Everything goes as planned, but without her two friends, Tereza refuses to eat, falls ill and finally manages to escape. The search for her is both comical and dramatic, but the wicked monkey finally manages to find her way home. The film features a number of scenes shot at the Lešná Zoo near Zlín. Its director was originally Dimitrij Plichta, but after a series of conflicts with the crew he was substituted by the director Josef Pin-kava.
