Roger Lambert’s »Follow You Follow Me« explores the developing friendship between two teenage boys in 1979 England. Joseph, the son of a factory owner, is shy, and unsure about a lot of things in life. Peter, who’s own father works for Joseph’s dad at the factory, is confident and cocky and knows his way around a girl’s heart. On on-going dispute at the factory suddenly begins to take its toll on these best mates, and reveals their true feelings for each other.»Follow You Follow Me« is a British (rather) short film (35 minutes) from 1979. It’s a story about two schoolboys (teenagers) that despite coming from different socioeconomic circumstances are best mates. Joseph is the shy boy of the owner of a factory and Peter is the selfconfident and outgoing son of the common factory worker. Their friendship is in danger as there’s an upcoming conflict at the factory involving their fathers, who both sees the boys reflecting the other part, and not wanting them to see each other anymore. Parents want to choose the friends of their children, not realising that they have their own personalities and preferences.
