Sinopsis:
For centuries, the inhabitants of the Land of Brightness battle with the Spirit of Darkness. Old, wise and good Vitalis is the only man who managed to get out of the maze. He lives alone and is a woodsman with his old horse called Storm. One day he receives an unexpected gift from fate – a crying infant. who he finds in a misty forest. Vitalis then becomes foster father of the boy and names him Janek and raises him as his own son, but when the boy reaches adolescence, the mysterious forces that deposited him in the forest seem to call him back, sending severe troubles and trials. When Vitalis mysteriously loses sight, the boy sets on to a long and dangerous journey in hope of restoring it to him, during which he meets, among others, a jolly devil, Pipe, who becomes his friend and companion.
