Sein Regiedebut gab bei diesem Film Kim Rossi Stuart („Im Namen der Rose“, „Karate Warrior“). Außerdem schrieb er am Drehbuch zu diesem Film mit. Da kurz vor den Dreharbeiten der eigentlich eingeplante Schauspieler, welcher den Vater von Tommaso spielen sollte, absagte, übernahm er kurzfristig auch noch die Rolle von Renato.
