Die Ingalls fühlen sich in der engen und menschenüberfüllten Stadt nicht wohl. Als Charles’ skrupelloser Chef beim Kartenspiel Toby Noe auch noch einen Lotteriegewinn abknöpft, kündigen Jonathan Garvey und Mr. Oleson ihre Stellung.
