This Hansel and Gretel-esque fairytale may seem comfortably familiar at first, but as it unfolds, something unexpectedly dark takes over.
Written and directed by Noto and Kindersley, the nine-minute movie (which also goes by the name SWEET TOOTH) follows two 17th-century children (Tim Chalamet and Jackie Rhoads) who sneak into an empty house in the woods where they hear never-ending treats await them. But any horror fan knows that an abandoned home plus curious children never equals a happy ending. »We expected a reaction,« Kindersley says of the film’s shocking climax, »and better yet, hoped for one.not necessarily shock.«
