Movie description:
Jamie’s mother and grandmother have both died. Tommy is taken away to a children’s home, but Jamie’s real father is stuck with the boy. There are several members of this family, only two of whom deserves even the slightest hint of compassion: his other half brother Archie and his grandfather. Jamie is subjected to routine starvation, beatings, neglect, and rejection by all save his grandfather, at least before the old man finally succeeds in suicide.
