Movie description:
Rille is a fat, moody teenager, whose only sense of achievement is gained at the Ping Pong table, where he is a self-proclaimed little league coach. He is bullied by his classmates, and his younger brother Erik is so slim and popular, that Rille has to ask himself, if they really are brothers. »The King of Ping Pong« gives us a tragicomic, yet affectionate depiction of Rille’s troubles, his sad role as a victim of bullying, and his desperate attempts at redressing things that aren’t what he wants them to be. A film about pulling through against all odds, and about regaining confidence in oneself.
