Movie description:

After enrolling in a school, an impoverished boy finds conflict with his classmates and decides to compete to earn their respect.

Amiro is a young boy who has lost his home during the war. He spends his days by working odd jobs, until he realizes that the only way that he can realize his dreams is by enrolling in school. In school, Amiro has conflict with other students. Finally there is a competition to see who can say the whole alphabet in one breath.

Amiro’s passion for life is apparent from the first frame of this marvellous film from Iran. 13-year-old Amiro is a boy who lost his home during the war. He spends his days working odd jobs, gathering bottles – shoeshine, until he realizes that the only way that he can realize his dreams to go to sea is by enrolling in school. When Amiro isn’t in school he spends his time in running competitions with his street friends... chasing trains, running up gravel hills, or a competition to see who can reach the block of ice on a hot day before it melts.
