Movie description:
When two trash-picking boys from Rio’s slums find a wallet in amongst the daily detritus of their local dump, little do they imagine that their lives are about to change forever. But when the local police show up, offering a handsome reward for the wallet’s return, the boys, Rafael and Gardo, realize that what they’ve found must be important.»Trash« follows three Brazilian street teenagers; Raphael, Gardo, and Rato who spend their time picking through litter in the hope of finding useful waste. One day they discover a wallet whose contents will bring them into conflict with the brutal local police force as they find themselves unlikely whistleblowers in a city rife with corruption. Rather than turn the wallet over to the authorities for a reward, the kids seek the confidence of a priest, Father Juilliard and Olivia, an NGO-worker.
