Belgian director Filip van Neyghem’s Dutch-language comedy »Blinker en de Blixvaten« represents the third installment in a lengthy, multi-film saga about the foibles of the Van Steen clan, and the first since 2000’s Blinker en het Bagbag-juweel. In this outing, the family relocates to the coastal region of Oostende, Flanders (Belgium), after Mr. Van Steen accepts a job as a lifeguard there. The son, Blinker Van Steen, provides some much-needed assistance to his dad; meanwhile, everyone learns that the diabolical Blix Industries has caused massive, widespread pollution just off the shore, but no one quite knows how to contend with this discovery.
