Movie description:
Thrown out of his house by his drunken stepfather, 11-year-old Oliver must fend for himself on the streets of Caracas, where he gets caught in the middle of a drug war between mobster Mocho and two cocky young rivals Pelao and César.
In Venezuela, 7 million children live in poverty, 4 million suffer from chronic malnutrition, 3 million do not go to school and 600,000 are abandoned. Violent deaths among minors are part of daily life. Many are results of vengeance, family violence and death at the hands of law enforcement. The most elementary human rights are violated in children’s detention centers where adequate meals are lacking and diseases go unattended. Oliver is a boy thrown out of his home by his alcoholic stepfather. Just like many others, he learns to survive in any way he can and is always living on the edge of death.
