Movie description:
Young Matić lives with his mother in a huge apartment block in a big town in Yugoslavia and his life is rather boring. That is, until one day he is »attacked« by a bunch of kids playing cowboys and Indians. After an embarrassing punishment by the »Indians«, lead by Black Flash, his friend Rok comes to his aid. Meanwhile an assistant for a movie production company spots Matić and invites him to appear in a movie. The offer is accepted and Matić is paired with Jakob, a big black dog, and they instantly become friends. At the end of the filming Matić is very sad to leave Jakob so the director arranges for him to keep the dog. That is where the fun begins! Keeping a big dog in an apartment complex is bound to cause problems and so it did. The »Indian« gang finally joined with Matić to help him keep the dog.
This film takes place in Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. Matic lives in a large neighbourhood of concrete blocks of flats with his mother. As his father is temporarily working in Libya, they live alone. Matics’ otherwise monotonous life changes dramatically when he is chosen to feature in a film. At the shooting he meets Milena, a girl his own age whom he begins to like. When the shooting is over, the film company gives him a present, a huge black Newfoundlander. Although his mother is not really pleased about it, Matic brings the dog home. And that is just the beginning of their adventures ...
