Movie description:
This Russian musical children’s film based on the same story by French
writer Hector Malot.
The film tells us about life and the sad adventures of an adopted boy – Remi.
Remi lives with the stepmother and learns that he is adopted. Remi decides to leave home to find his blood family. He meets a
travelling musician, Vitalis, and travels with him as travelling musicians. In small city, after a show, Vitalis gets put in prison and the boy remains alone.
He begins to wander alone. During his journey he meets a rich woman with a small boy and this lady helps him.
In the winter Vitalis leaves prison and they go together to Paris. In Paris, Vitalis again gets placed in prison and the boy again remains alone.
The boy becomes part of a group of the vagrant boys-beggars.
There he meets another boy-orphan – Mattia. They escape from their malicious boss and begin to wander together. Then Remi learns that his blood family is in London.
They decide to go in London – to
search for Remi’s family. In London they encounter bad people, who want to earn money with the boys. The boys escape from and go back to France. And in France the boys find Remi’s blood family. His mother is a woman, who Remi met earlier. Remi remains in the family, and Mattia leaves Remi’s family to continue his wandering alone.
