Filmbeschreibung:
This is the story of Eddie Marten, who envies workaholic, Richard, but values his family over his career. After the loss of his child, Jack, Eddie spirals into an alcoholic depression. His alcoholism pushes his wife, Susan, away. Eddie then goes back to work, a complete mess, and is caught drinking by his rival Richard. Eddie blames Richard for being fired and follows him back to his apartment. Eddie then has a physical confrontation with his rival. Just as Eddie is about to finish off Rick, Richard’s son, Mikey, who greatly resembles Jack, walks into the room. Eddie is surprised and mortified, realizing that he hit rock bottom. Months later, Eddie emerges from an AA meeting with his sponsor and friend Richard. His sobriety gives him the confidence to reconnect with his wife. She agrees, yet she is apprehensive. Eddie and Susan are at dinner, when the waiter offers the couple a bottle of wine. Eddie refuses proving his change of character.
